The area

With approx. 25 km to Aarhus and Horsens respectively, from our SEAsuites you have easy access to many different experiences – culinary, cultural, nature or shopping.

You also have the opportunity to visit sights and attractions located in the East Jutland area of Djursland, near Horsens, Randers and Aarhus - all within a reasonable driving distance.

Or stay in the immediate area and enjoy nature right outside the door.

Use the beach and the water

SEAsuites is located at Hølken Strand, which with its shallow water, fine sand and jetty invites you to take a refreshing dip. There is plenty of space here, not too many people and thus ideal for peace, quiet and contemplation.

SEAsuites is located at a beach with a white flag, which guarantees a clean beach with good facilities.

Start the day by enjoying the sunrise and get renewed energy for a new day. If you feel like a little stroll, it is recommended to take a walk along the beach and enjoy the beautiful view with the ferries to Samsø and Tunø on the horizon.

Enjoy nature on foot or on two wheels

The beach and nature around SEAsuites invite you to take relaxing walks or bike rides on paths and small roads. The beautiful landscape that borders the Kattegat is ideal for finding peace and quiet.

The view over the sea to ships, the ferries in shuttle service and Tunø and Samsø is in itself a balm for the soul. Take the food basket with you or enjoy a cup of coffee in quiet and natural surroundings in the area.

If you have brought the two-wheeler with you, go for a ride in the varied landscape and get around a little further.

Taste local specialties

SEAsuites' nearby areas Hou, Odder and Saksild are well worth exploring - for example you can find a delicious farm shop with local specialities. There are plenty of them. Or enjoy a good meal at one of the area's local cafes or restaurants.

The character of the area has inspired many artists to settle here. Many of them open their doors to guests in the summer and invite you inside for a cultural experience. There are actually quite a few manors in the area, which are worth a visit.

Jump from island to island

Take a peaceful excursion to the small islands near SEAsuites. The scheduled ferries sail from the mainland to Samsø, Tunø, Endelave, Alrø and Hjarnø and provide a very special island atmosphere with many small harbours, cozy coves and beautiful bays.

The little gems in both the Kattegat and Horsens Fjord lie in a row and here you can experience sandy beaches, flat and hilly landscapes – on top of that in idyllic and car-free areas, for example on Tunø.

Visit the area's many attractions. Here you will find local history, stories and memories of the past in nature. Within a radius of 30 km you will find, among other things:

Take the Light Rail to Aarhus

Travel to Odder by bike, car, or motorhome.

From Odder Station, the Light Rail (Letbanen), which is a small train, runs to the center of Aarhus.

You can park your car or motorhome for free behind Odder Station.
You can also leave your bikes there, or bring them with you on the train so you can cycle around the city.

Dogs are allowed on the train.

Golf Courses

Try one or more of the 4 exciting golf courses located in our local area: Stensballegaard Golf Club, Horsens Golf Club, Odder Golf Club, and Juelsminde Golf Club.

Stensballegaard Golf Club is situated in scenic surroundings in Stensballe, just five kilometers from Horsens. A large golf facility with 27 holes (3 loops), training facilities with room for everyone, a large clubhouse with excellent facilities, and much more.

Horsens Golf Club is an 18-hole course of the most challenging kind, with many beautiful lakes and streams. It boasts Denmark's best par-3 course, where the 9 holes are set in a very hilly landscape with full-sized greens that are open all year round.

Odder Golf Club is the closest to HAVsuites. Although parts of the course are hilly, it is easy to walk. It is compact, with only short distances from one green to the next tee. The facility as a whole is forest-fringed with a plain-like character, providing shelter on some of the holes – regardless of the wind direction.

Juelsminde Golf Club is located in beautiful natural surroundings near the beach and forest, in a very hilly terrain with stunning views from several greens across the southern Kattegat to Funen, Æbelø, and Endelave. The course consists of 18 holes.
